Vertex

In graph theory, a vertex (plural vertices) ^[1][2] is one of the fundamental objects making up a graph, together with the edges that join pairs of vertices to one another. The vertices of a graph $G$ form its vertex set $V(G)$.

Let $G=(V,E)$ be a graph. A vertex is an element $v\in V$ of the vertex set.
